هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن فعالية برنامج تدريبي باستخدام الحواس لتنمية مهارات حماية الذات والإستقلالية لدى الأطفال المعاقين عقلياً، والتحقق من مدى استمرارية فعالية البرنامج بعد فترة المتابعة والتي استغرقت شهر، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (10) معاقين عقلياً بمدرسة التربية الفكرية بالمنصورة مقسمين إلى مجموعتين (تجريبية، وضابطة) بواقع (5) معاقين لكل مجموعة، وتترواح أعمارهم من (10- 13) سنة بمتوسط عمري (11.5) سنة، واتبعت الدراسة المنهج شبه التجريبي في إجراء تجربة الدراسة، واشتملت أدوات الدراسة على مقياس مهارات حماية الذات (إعداد الباحثة)، ومقياس مهارات الإستقلالية (إعداد الباحثة)، والبرنامج التدريبي المكون من 41 جلسة (إعداد الباحثة)، وأسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن فعالية البرنامج التدريبي باستخدام الحواس في تنمية مهارات حماية الذات والاستقلالية لدى الأطفال المعاقين عقلياً واستمرار فعاليته بعد فترة المتابعة
Mental disability is one of the phenomena that does not recognize social boundaries, and to which all families can be exposed at their various economic, social and cultural levels alike. Mental disability is a human phenomenon that no society or class is devoid of. It is a phenomenon that has attracted the attention of scientists in various fields. Therefore, it is considered one of the most important areas of interest in psychological studies, especially since the increasing percentages of people with intellectual disabilities require more studies that serve this group at its various age stages.
Accordingly; The current study attempted to present a training program using the senses to develop self-protection and independence skills for mentally disabled children, and measure its effectiveness in developing these skills and making them desirable and acceptable social skills for them.
The problem of the study:
Based on the above, the problem of the current study is crystallized in that mentally disabled children who are capable of learning are exposed to some abuse, which threatens themselves, and makes them feel inferior, alienated, and isolated from society, which makes them unable to rely on themselves and carry out their daily tasks, which makes there an urgent need to build and prepare a training program. For these children to protect themselves, integrate into society, and carry out their daily tasks on their own.
