تعتبر مرحلة رياض الأطفال أهم مرحلة في حياة الإنسان لأنها المرحلة التي تتكون فيها جميع نواحي شخصية الطفل العاطفية والفكرية والجسدية وباعتبارها مرحلة انتقالية في حياة الطفل حيث ينتقل فيها من البيت إلى العالم الخارجي لكى تتوسع علاقاته وتزداد خبراته وباعتبارها أيضا المرحلة التي يستعد فيها الطفل للمدرسة لأنه يتعلم فيها أساسيات التعليم بطرق علمية حديثة وممتعة.
وتعد معلمة رياض الأطفال هي شخصية تربوية مؤهلة للعمل مع مجموعات الأطفال الصغار يطلق عليها أيضا معلم تربية الطفولة المبكرة، يتم اختيارها بعناية بالغة من خلال مجموعة من المعايير الإنسانية الخاصة بالسمات والخصائص والاستعدادات الجسمية والعقلية والاجتماعية والأخلاقية والوجدانية المناسبة لمهنة تربية الطفل، تلقى اعدادا وتدريبا تكامليا (ثقافيا- تخصصيا- مهنيا- تكنولوجيا- أخلاقيا) في كليات جامعية وعالية، لتولى مسؤوليات ومهام وأدوار العمل التربوي التكاملي لمجموعة معينة من الأطفال الصغار بالتعاون مع أولياء الأمور والجهات المجتمعية المدنية الداعمة للطفولة من أجل تحقيق جودة محتوى برامج تربية الأطفال.
Kindergarten is considered the most important stage in a person’s life because it is the stage in which all aspects of the child’s emotional, intellectual and physical personality are formed. It is also a transitional stage in the child’s life, as he moves from home to the outside world in order to expand his relationships and increase his experiences. It is also the stage in which the child prepares for school because he learns the basics of education in it using modern and enjoyable scientific methods. A kindergarten teacher is an educational figure qualified to work with groups of young children. She is also called an early childhood education teacher. She is carefully selected based on a set of human criteria related to the characteristics, features, and physical, mental, social, moral, and emotional readiness appropriate for the profession of child rearing. She receives integrated preparation and training (culturally, specialized, professionally, technologically, and morally). In university and higher education institutions, to assume the responsibilities, tasks and roles of integrated educational work for a specific group of young children in cooperation with parents and civil society organizations that support childhood in order to achieve quality content for child-rearing programs
