لقد باتت مشكلة الإدمان أكثر المشكلات التي تهدد أمن وسلامة كثير من المجتمعات، وذلك لأنها تعد السبب الرئيسى وراء استنفاذ الموارد الاقتصادية للمجتمع، بل تحويل طاقات أفراده وقدرتهم من النمو والإبداع إلى مزيد من الوهن والخمول وخاصة الطلاب الثروة البشرية الهائلة القادرة على مواجهة التحديات في المستقبل ، وعلى المجتمع في ظل الظروف التي نعيشها فيها أن يمتلك استراتيجية لحماية الطلاب ولا توجد بلد في العالم تضع استراتيجية كاملة  لمواجهة الإدمان  لكن وللأسف إلى الآن لا يوجد أي إثبات علمي  أن أحد هذه الاستراتيجيات أفضل من باقي الاستراتيجيات الآخرى فكل  استراتيجية هي مجرد محاولة واجتهاد ذاتي في كل دولة حسب صفاتها الثقافية ، والحضارية ، والعلمية.
The problem of addiction has become the most threatening problem for the security and safety of many societies, because it is the main reason behind the depletion of the economic resources of society, but rather the transformation of the energies of its members and their ability to grow and creativity into more weakness and inactivity, especially students The enormous human wealth capable of facing challenges in the future, and society in light of the circumstances in which we live in it must have a strategy to protect students and no country in the world develops a complete strategy to confront addiction, but unfortunately to Now there is no scientific proof that one of these strategies is better than the rest of the other strategies, as each strategy is just an attempt and self-diligence in each country according to its cultural, civilizational, and scientific characteristics
